Alaskan Range Contemporary Necklace

A Free Tutorial for Hammering & Beading Wire Work

Greetings FireFeathers!

I've been fascinated by and enamored with the more traditional styles of wire wrapping for years, now. Almost seven years, to be precise. Times come for an artist to change gears now and then; shake things up a bit, keep things fresh.

Although I typically go for coils and weaving, I wanted something a little simpler that could still evoke emotion. I wanted it to be really easy to make and assemble. How could I go wrong with the striking, majestic angles of impressive mountain ranges?

My newest contribution to Wirejewelry.com is just that: art inspired by nature. The Alaskan Range tutorial spawned from a glorious image captured by a friend during his journey south, from Alaska to Colorado. If you've got an appreciation for thr majesty of mountains, this tutorial is for you.
