Here in the Pacific Northwest, we had a long and rainy winter that was followed by a blistery summer. As the months faded into autumn, the season’s typically colorful changes were stayed by the lingering heat. However, the seasons turn as they will and the colors of Portland found their way into the neighborhoods.

I have always loved the emergence of autumn hues, but living in Portland has intensified that appreciation, ten-fold! The season’s layers overlap in perfectly complimentary tones and - when the rain and cold doesn’t overwhelm them - they stay for nearly two months!

My newest contribution to Wirejewelry.com is an homage to the turning of the Pacific Northwest’s October and November flora and fauna. The rainbow-colored hues range from magentas to plums and chartreuse to vermillion. What a show!
