ammonite

Ammonite - A symbol of change, filtering out stagnant or negative energy, revitalizing creativity, & connecting you to the life forces of the earth.
Every rock and mineral comes with benefits, both in color and shape, but also in history. One of my favorites (I have a lot of favorites) is the ammonite. I mean, how interesting is it that this "rock" once lived and breathed and scooted around the oceans with its siphuncle? So cool!
Ammonites vary widely in shape, patterning, and color based on the genus as well as the era they lived in and the mineral deposits that replaced the original tissues and shells. These little cephalopods were prolific through the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous eras. Combined, that's over 600 million years. Paired with their vast history and variety, ammonites are also undeniably alluring for their Fibonacci spirals and beguiling fractal patterning and their name dates back to the Egyptian god, Ammon, who's likeness bore ram's horns.
On a metaphysical level, it can be said that ammonites are a symbol of change, growing through stages of life as we grow and learn. Their energy is one of the earth, probably for obvious reasons, and therefore help with grounding our energy and connecting us with the living things that surround us. Builders and designers can find an excellent companion in ammonites (no wonder I love them so much!).
If you're looking to move stagnant energy, promote the flow of creativity, and jumpstart your primal energy, wear an ammonite on your body or keep one in your most creative spaces. Heck, I even have one tattooed on me!
Be aware, though! Don't keep these guys in your pockets or somewhere where they will get bumped and jostled. Despite their fossil status, they're actually quite soft and easy to damage or break. Curious, I wonder how that might relate to the delicate balance of energy that we all maintain with ourselves, eachother, and the Earth. What do you think?
